This workshop has a focus on acting through song but also working more specifically on how to best honour the music and the vocality while achiev-ing dramatic connection.

In this workshop, Josh will cover how to understand your voice type and the vocal techniques required to develop a rounded musical theatre style voice whilst honouring both the musiciality, context and meaning of your song.

Storytelling Through Song: Finding the Truth Within the Text with Imogen Prossor

This workshop will mainly be focused on storytelling through song and how to create a believable character for performance. This will include; how to approach analysing the text of a song, acting techniques that Imogen has developed through her own performance opportunities, and how to use different vocal qualities effectively. There will be opportunities for students to put their learning into practice, with various exercises and classic workshop-style presentations.

Join Hayden Tee as he works through his process for taking characters from page to stage, acting into song.
In this workshop he will unpack his ‘personal process’ that he has developed from various classes where he has been a student or from exercises he has tried to help him tackle a specific role including a series of exercises and philosophies that he personally uses because he have found over the years they have worked for him. This workshop includes creating a character; scene into song and storying through song and will include practical exercises as well as master class moments.
